If you have looked though this site you are probably aware that Brent Amos is the head Winemaker for Fenestra Winery.   Brent has a passion for making all wines, both red and white, but when meeting with him last week he confessed that of all the wines he makes Sauvignon Blanc is, by far, his favorite. This is a phenomenal offering and vinified in an unorthodox fashion for a Sauvignon Blanc.  

Winemaker tasting notes:

The Twin Lion 2006 Sauvignon Blanc exhibits enticing aromas of orange blossom, cut grass, lemon peel, and ripe peach. The palate is full and inviting, with luscious flavors of melon, kiwi, lime, and passion fruit.

Double Crossed would like to add that this is an incredible offering by Brent. I have to confess that I opened a bottle one evening and poured a glass. By evenings end the glass was empty and the bottle was dry. Buy a bottle and find out why.

Winemaker technical notes:

The blend is 4% Semillon, and 3% Verdelho. Grapes are from Brentwood in contra costa county. 67% barrel fermented in two year old french oak. pH is 3.33
