this wine was handmade just for you.
It has fresh citrus and tropical fruit on the nose followed by crisp citrus, pineapple and melon flavors on the palate. It is medium bodied with a smooth lingering finish. It is excellent with seafood or for sipping, just by itself.
It hails from Ron Silva's Vineyards in Lodi, California. Winemakers Brent Amos and Meredith Miles bring you yet another unusual varietal that is hand crafted to perfection. Perfect wine for that summer day or huddled round the fire.
Wine tasting notes:
This wine exhibits a fresh citrus and tropical fruit bouquet, with crisp, clean citrus, pineapple and melon flavors. Refreshing, with medium body and a satisfying finish.
Food pairing suggestions:This wine is best paired with seafood like grilled jumbo shrimp or halibut, sea scallops poached in a butter, white wine and garlic reduction sauce, fresh steamer clams in butter, salads like a Shrimp Louie, a lemon-roasted Chicken or simply as an aperitif.
Winemaker technical notes: The grapes were handpicked 8/13/07 at 24.8º Brix and pH 3.46 from Ron Silva's vineyards in Lodi. Crushed and pressed 4.05 tons, letting the juice settle with cooling overnight. Fermented the clarified juice in a tank with cooling (55º F) using VL-2 yeast for about 3 weeks until dry. Aged in stainless steel (no oak) for 4 months. About 4% Sauvignon Blanc and 2% Semillon were blended in.
